I have three comments:
1) Stu & I mistook your Emergency Room handbag for a weapon/ club. That it's truly a handbag is delicious.
2) The bus driver's right: you are messed up, girl. In the most delightful, glorious way.
3) You have a kindred spirit at the following blog http://catalogliving.net/
Oh Damn, I actually have a 4th:
Stu & I waited to open your card together & feasted on it. We HEART you!

Hi Sue! Thank you very, very much. What a fantastic tradition, eh? I not only LOVE that the marriage contract is permanently preserved as a piece of art, but also that the couple chooses ART (!!!) as their first purchase in a life joined together. Beautiful. This piece will also have a special place in my own life history because it coincided with amazing stories of birth and death... bringing everything full circle.

Mary,

awesome. hey, a couple years ago, while in boston, I had the opportunity to visit the studio of a sculpture who was doing some really great work with natural objects. Much of his work involved digging up trees, turning them upside down and creating figurative walking pieces (roots as hair, limbs as...well, limbs). very cool stuff. He had some pieces in the convention center (if that would help you locate some visuals)...i'll try to find the artist name.

anyway, miss you!

Mary, that story about Ru is enough to make me cry with the sweet sadness of your utterly lovely girl. I'm glad the tea helped. stu has the littlest version of your up-rootball-ed tree hanging out in our rockshop, waiting for his attentions. I can't wait to see what you do with yours.
bursting with love for you & yours, sue
